About Us

987 Alice Springs is a narrowcast service on the FM band targeted at travel & tourism and education in Central Australia.

Program originates from the campus of Charles Darwin University of which 11% our Territorians interact with. For Territory news, local issues and information updates we present the “The Charlie D Show with JP & Ali, Territory Talk and the Chat Room”, musically we look back at the early 70s, when rock music mellowed out. Singer songwriters, acoustic guitars, and sun-soaked melodies took over and the sound of soft rock was born.

For the first time ever, all the biggest and best Soft Rock hits of the 70s, 80s and 90s are together on one radio station. This is the music that made soft rock pure magic and 987 Territory FM the Alice Springs alternative.
